August A-Z Music Challenge – Day 16 “P”

I’ll never stop thanking Getting Through Anxiety & The Melodramatic Confessions of Carla Louise for creating this fantastic monthly challenge!

August 16th is a “Band/Singer that starts with the letter ‘P.'”  I gotta go with Pat Benatar, even though I also like: Paramore, Paula Abdul, Pearl Jam, Phantom of the Opera (the musical), Phil Collins (if only for “In The Air Tonight”), Pink, Pink Floyd, Poe (if you haven’t checked the out, you really should!!), & Prince.

A lot of really good artists/bands/singers start with “P.”  Who did I miss?  Who is your favorite?

    • Oh! I forgot Panic! At The Disco! I think I only like one or two of their songs, but I freakin’ really LOVE the one that goes “I chimed in with a haven’t you people ever heard of closing the G-d-damned door? No, it’s much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poisoned rationality!”

I go crazy dancing in my car to that one. 😀

      • “I Write Sins Not Tragedies!” Yesssssss.

I loved “Nine in the Afternoon” and “That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)” from their album Pretty.Odd.

I also love their new song, “Victorious.”

      • I can never remember the name of that song, even though I know most of the lyrics. I’m so awful at names!

Oh yes!! I like “Nine In The Afternoon” too! I’ll have to check out the other songs. 🙂
